📖User Instructions

Test Trailer / Caravan

  1. Plug the trailer 7-pin connector into the tester.
  2. Press the yellow button.
  3. All LEDs on = normal wiring; Any LED off = faulty circuit.

Test Vehicle Socket

  1. Insert the tester into the car 7-pin socket.
  2. Hold down the yellow button during the whole test.
  3. Activate vehicle lights one by one and check corresponding LEDs:
    • Left turn signal → PIN 1 (Yellow LED) lights up
    • Right turn signal → PIN 4 (Green LED) lights up
    • Also test rear fog lamp, brake light, tail light and license plate light in the same way.
  4. No corresponding LED light means poor connection or broken circuit.

LED & Pin Definition (All LEDs Lit)

  • PIN 1 (Yellow LED): Left turn signal
  • PIN 2 (Blue LED): Rear fog lamp
  • PIN 3 (White wire): Ground
  • PIN 4 (Green LED): Right turn signal
  • PIN 5 (Brown LED): Right tail light & license plate light
  • PIN 6 (Red LED): Brake light
  • PIN 7 (Black LED): Left tail light & license plate light

Troubleshooting

  • Partial LEDs off: Corresponding wire or bulb damaged, or loose connection.
  • All LEDs off: Ground wire (PIN 3) broken, no power supply or all bulbs failed.
  • Dim or flickering individual LEDs: Damaged wire, poor contact or foreign matter in plug.
  • All LEDs dim or flickering: Faulty ground wire (PIN 3), check power supply.
  • Tester works but trailer lights fail: Trailer circuit short circuit, possible blown fuse.
